WWI Australian Ankle Boots – Unissued Condition with Original Laces and Cleats

A rare and completely unused pair of Australian other ranks ankle boots from the First World War; these size 10 examples retain their original seven eyelets and leather laces, along with the distinctive toe and heel cleats and hobnails characteristic of issue boots from the period. The stitch pattern closely matches known Australian WWI examples; the only variation being the addition of a rear ankle leather pull tab, possibly a late or theatre-specific adaptation.

The boots bear partial but clearly identifiable maker’s marks—‘TRALIAN BOOT’ on one, and ‘SERVICE’ and ‘BOOT’ on the other—corroborating their Australian military origin. Internally, both are stamped ‘size 10’ along with the code ‘A103’. Preserved in excellent condition with minimal age-related wear; these boots offer an exceptional opportunity to acquire an authentic and untouched piece of Australian military kit from the Great War. An increasingly scarce item; especially in this state of preservation.
