A compelling and well-presented set featuring a wartime press photograph of General Dwight D. Eisenhower in full uniform, hat removed, seated at his desk in a classic leadership pose. Accompanying the photograph is a piece of lightly foxed official headed paper from Headquarters, 21st Army Group bearing Eisenhower’s signature. Below his autograph is the signature of Field Marshal Sir Alan Brooke — Chief of the Imperial General Staff and trusted senior advisor to Winston Churchill — along with a further unidentified signature beneath.
Elegantly framed for display, this is a desirable combination of both an iconic image and authenticated period signatures of two of the most influential Allied commanders of WWII. A strong centrepiece for any high-quality leadership or command-level collection.
