A nice condition example of the classic U.S. WWII M.1 combat helmet; featuring fixed strap bales and retaining nearly all of its original textured olive-drab paint finish. Fitted with its period American net cover; this helmet represents the iconic front-line gear of the U.S. infantryman during the Second World War.
The removable interior liner is manufactured by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company; it includes full internal webbing and a sweatband. One web section bears what appear to be the original owner’s hand-applied initials; a personal detail rarely preserved. The helmet is completed by its correct olive web chinstrap and fully marked rear strapping.
