RUSSIAN WWII WATER COLOUR

An extremely good, well-created war artist water colour measuring 53 x 34cm in a simple fitted black and gilded frame, showing a Russian anti-tank gun crew in action. Good uniform detail. The painting would make a fine backdrop for a Russian diorama or display. The painting was purchased in Russia in the early years of post-1989. It is signed on the reverse, although not visible, as it has been reframed within the U.K. Originally bought out of  Russia in a tube. The artist's name, ‘Blaschchuk’ is hand applied in ink on the exterior of the rear backing, and the painting is entitled ‘DURING BATTLE’.
