A well-preserved Soviet-era display piece from the Second World War, dated 1941 and bearing the hammer and sickle marking. This example, known as the PU SVT-40 model, is fitted with a mounting bracket believed to be compatible with the Mosin-Nagant bolt-action system, reflecting shared use across Soviet equipment during the period.
The main body presents well, with legible wartime markings and visible traces of original blued finish. Two small indentations are present on the forward section, along with areas of light surface oxidation, now stable. The optics remain clear and well-aligned, showing excellent preserved clarity.
A rare and increasingly hard-to-find display piece with strong ties to Eastern Front history and Soviet mid-century optical development.
