RUSSIAN WWII M40 NAVAL HELMET

A rare helmet in the Russian series is a very good example of the Soviet M40 painted battleship grey for use by the Soviet Navy. At least 80% of the original battleship grey paint is intact, with traces visible of the original Russian green below the grey; the interior bowl is still with Russian green, it’s seven tongued imitation leather liner all complete, with its web chinstrap and green painted buckle, the original rubber ink stampings normally found in the rear skirt Russian helmet are faintly visible but the figures cannot be clearly identified, it is incredibly difficult to find Soviet era Naval helmets, Probably used by the Black Sea fleet, A very nice descriptive typed label from the previous owner still attached to the helmet.
