RUSSIAN WWII BERLIN BATTLEFIELD PICK UP HELMET

A Russian combat helmet, a relic from the Battle of Berlin in 1945, was discovered in Berlin after the breakdown of the Berlin Wall in 1989. The interior lining is all missing, but the attachment clips are present. Shrapnel damage to the shell. Some original paint finish remains. An old label is attached.  This was probably purchased by the collector in one of the Berlin markets that sprang up near the Brandenburg Gate after the fall of the wall in 1989.
