A very fine condition size 56 or 57 Luftwaffe double Erel-marked officers' visor cap. The exterior body is totally free of any moth damage or moth tracking, silver waffenfarbe excellent, with a mint matching set of heavy wire embroidered national eagle and cockade, standard mohair centre band, and a slight fading to the mohair centre band on the right-hand side of the central cockade from sun exposure. Wire officers cap cords, the most commonly encountered visor being the double-edged style, with some light crazing to the leather finish of the visor. High saddle shape. To the int, erior the light tan leather sweatband shows some wear and use, but with some of the silver blocking to the Erel trademark on the sweatband still visible, the interior is fully lined in light green satin, with a undamaged centre celluloid lozenge, having its full complement of Luftwaffe Berlin silver blocked markings. The cap is accompanied by the officer's parade belt in virtually mint unworn condition, gold early droop-tailed eagle to the buckle, Luftwaffe blue grey felt interior lining with both of its brocade runners.
