Japanese WWII Officers Display Piece

Without doubt one of the finest World War Two period Japanese officers display pieces we have ever offered, likely intended for an officer with the rank of Colonel. The piece measures 99 cm in total length, featuring a 67 cm blade crafted by Ishido Minamoto Teru Hide of Tokyo, which remains in stunning condition.
The light brown ray skin-style scabbard is superb, with finely detailed fittings. The hilt is covered in ray skin with a cream wrap, complemented by an orange colonel’s sword knot. The tsuba is also in excellent condition. The tang is signed and accompanied by a translation and research, confirming its authenticity and provenance.
