JAPANESE WWII NCO DISPLAY PIECE WITH COMBAT COVER

Generally good blade, bright, with its long single fuller, numbered ‘63857’ with its standard NCO cut out cross guard (tsuba). The aluminium faux wrapped hilt with some oxidisation, still with its hanging ring and its closure catch, Japanese ordnance marked on the lower part of the hilt, in its scabbard, which is number-mismatched, which, unusually for an NCO sword, has a leather combat cover. The combat cover has a small section of possibly 20cm where the stitching along the closure seam has opened.
