JAPANESE WWII ARMY OFFICERS DISPLAY PIECE

A very nice Japanese officer's sword having a 26 ½ inch blade with a very attractive wavy hamon. There are no flaws, scratches or impediments of any type to the blade. The tang of the blade is signed with 7 characters, plus the Showa stamp. The hilt has a very nice and attractive grip binding with undamaged ray skin below. Standard military fittings overall with a pierced Tsuba (cross guard). All fitted into its wood scabbard, having its leather combat cover, the cover itself has a few abrasions and discolouration, but generally the leather is good, the stitching has not rotted and it is a typical combat officer's sword.
