The Japanese naval officers dress sword, modelled on many other international navy swords. Excellent single fullered blade. Ray skin grip covered with grip wire. Gilded D shaped hilt with floriated raised design. Scabbard of leather with three gilded mounts with floriated raised designs in a Japanese style. Complete with its very attractive silver and red portapee knot. Early 20th Century. Very attractive with its beautiful bullion knot.
