ITALIAN WWII FASCIST BANNER

The banner, all in black, measuring 56 cm x 45 cm, on its original carrying pole with its original side hanging tassels, gold fringed base, black silk material excellent, Fascist insignia in faded gilt, the lettering above the insignia reading, Fascio Di Comabattimento. The banner, embroidered in gold below the Fascist insignia reading  Castel di Piano, this banner was more than likely for veterans of the First World War who had joined the Fascist party. Most of the banners that appear on the collectors market are generally for agricultural associations and other civil movements, not for military-based veterans organisations.
