A clean and well-preserved example of the Italian Colonial Police presentation item; retaining its original design and fittings throughout. The grip is made from imitation mother-of-pearl and features inlaid insignia of the Crown and Eagle of the House of Savoy. There are some small chips to the grip near the base adjacent to the cross guard, but the piece remains structurally sound.
The distinctive tear-drop shaped central element remains in original form; it has not been reprofiled or altered, and is clearly marked with the identification number P.C.2349. Housed in its original handmade leather casing, the piece includes a fully intact rear belt loop and a working male–female closure strap at the hilt—functioning as intended.
