ITALIAN WWII COLONIAL POLICE DAGGER

A scarce dagger from the Fascist Italian period, being the colonial police dagger. The tear-drop-shaped blade is in its original form and has not been sharpened or re-profiled. issue number P.C.2226 stamped on the top of the blade underneath the steel cross guard. The imitation mother-of-pearl grip is undamaged, with its House of Savoy oval insignia complete. fitted into its original handmade scabbard, which still retains its belt loop, the hilt retaining strap is missing, leather rot around one of the rivets; the other rivet is missing.
