German WWI Württemberg Presentation Display Piece

A superbly preserved model 1889 infantry officers display piece in magnificent condition. The standard fretted bowl hilt retains all of its rayskin and grip wire, perfectly intact. The long straight double-fullered surface features double-sided blue and gilt panels, with the regimental inscription for the Third Württemberg Infantry Regiment, adorned with horse and floral motifs. The reverse side bears a striking double-line gold-on-blue inscription: “Do not draw me without reason, do not force me without honour.”

This complete piece remains fitted in its original scabbard, with excellent untouched paintwork, reflecting careful preservation.
