GERMAN WWII WHITE RED CROSS M.42 COMBAT HELMET - BARN STORED

A fabulous barn find helmet, being an M.42 raw edge combat helmet, painted white with the remains of its red cross to the face side. Considerable rust bleed in the crown area, where the white paint has removed itself, revealing the original grey-green paint below. Other parts of the helmet have rust bleed with, not only rust marks, but with the colour of the grey green below flooding through. To the front of the helmet can clearly be seen the outline of a red cross. To the interior, the complete shell has a thin layer of rust. The original liner is all complete; the stitching at the reverse side has split, but all the tongues are present. A super rare barn find helmet.
