German WWII War Service Cross 1st Class without Swords

This is a 1st Class War Service Cross (Kriegsverdienstkreuz) in unissued condition. The award features bright highlights on the frame, the central emblem, and the wreath, which contrast with the satin finish on the pebbled arms of the cross.

The reverse of the pin is maker marked with the number 4, identifying the manufacturer as Steinhauer & Luck of Ludenscheid. The award is housed in its original exterior presentation box, which remains in excellent condition with a clear silver image of the cross on the lid.

Uniquely, this set includes the original Steinhauer & Luck cardboard delivery box. While the delivery box shows some minor knocking to the corners consistent with age, it remains complete with its closure lid. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a decorated award accompanied by its full original packaging, exactly as it would have left the factory.
