German WWII War Service Cross 1st Class with Swords

A very fine example retaining much of its original silver frosting. The wide tapering pin is marked with the number ‘1’, denoting manufacture by Deschler & Söhne of Munich. Fitted with its original hook and hinge, it comes complete in its original presentation case, which lacks a closing catch. The silk lining to the upper inner lid is in good condition, with a slightly dulled outline of the award visible on the exterior of the box.
