German WWII Waffen SS Infantry Flak Shoulder Boards

An absolutely mint, unissued set of the rare Hauptscharführer shoulder boards, featuring silver tress and silver lace to the exterior with white infantry piping in wool. The centre displays two frosted silver rank pips with matching Gothic frosted silver intertwined ‘FL’ denoting Armed Forces Flak. Standard black central wool with field grey undersides. A rare, matching pair.

This unit was formed in June 1939, later serving in the Polish campaign before being transferred to the SS Verfügungs Division. Full explanatory text on this unit can be found on pages 21 and 22 of Uniforms of the SS by Andrew Mollow, Volume 3.
