German WWII Waffen SS Grey Winter Parka

A generally good condition example of the rare first pattern pullover head fur-lined winter anorak, commonly known as the Kharkov Parka. An excellent photograph of this garment being worn appears on page 69 of the authoritative 1972 work Waffen SS Uniforms and Clothing by Mollo, Volume 6. The parka shows good overall colour with all fur and sheepskin lining intact, save for one hole to the lining at the lower rear.

It retains its original windproof cuffs and all correct buttons. There are minor staining and field repairs throughout, but the elasticated waistband remains effective. Small nicks and holes are present, mainly to the lower sleeves. A rare and highly sought-after Waffen SS combat clothing piece introduced during the winter campaign in Russia.
