German WWII Waffen-SS Green BeVo Field Cap Eagle

An extremely scarce example of the green BeVo-woven SS eagle, intended for wear on the spring side of the reversible Waffen-SS camouflage field cap. Woven in green thread on a black backing, this eagle was designed to blend with the lighter, spring-coloured camouflage pattern of the cap’s exterior.

On the reverse (autumn side) of these reversible caps, a counterpart eagle featuring brown thread was typically applied to match the darker camouflage tones. This example represents a rare and highly sought-after component of elite SS combat uniform insignia.
