An incredibly rare and historically significant Waffen-SS field-grey combat tunic, tailored for a high-ranking Brigadeführer. Styled in the classic M36 pattern with a five-button front and deep turn-back cuffs, this tunic remains in solid overall condition, exhibiting only one small moth nip to the upper right shoulder and minor material shredding to one cuff—no other moth or stain damage is present.

The tunic features original shoulder boards for the rank of Brigadeführer, with a light grey underlay showing minor discoloration. The boards are finely woven in Cellion and silver wire. Matching hand-embroidered collar tabs, also in silver wire on black velvet, display slight oxidisation, consistent with age. The upper right sleeve bears a hand-embroidered officer’s silver wire SS eagle, with a Demjansk Shield affixed above—indicative of frontline service.

Two ribbon bars (Iron Cross 2nd Class and Eastern Front Medal) are present through the second buttonhole, now faded with time. Three award loops are stitched above the upper right breast pocket. Inside, a tailor-made slot in the lining was designed for a full dagger or sword hanger. The inner pocket carries a canvas tailor’s label from Schneiderei Wittmann, with the faint penciled name of the original wearer—now illegible. Of medium size, this tunic remains unaltered and is a prime, museum-worthy example of Waffen-SS senior officer field attire.
