An excellent set of three volumes widely regarded as the definitive reference on the German Army of WWII.

Volume 1, 1st edition 1984, 447 pages, provides in-depth coverage of military structure, conditions of service, rank groups and classes, dress regulations, weapons, and specialist clothing, illustrated with both period and contemporary black-and-white photographs. A previous owner has noted a price in US dollars on page 3.

Volume 2, 2nd printing 1992 (original copyright 1986), 416 pages, focuses on insignia, badges for plain clothes, administrative officials, women auxiliaries, Organisation Todt, the people’s militia, and other subjects. It includes detailed illustrations and both period and modern black-and-white photographs. “Volume 2” has been handwritten on the cover by a previous owner.

Volume 3, 1st edition 1987, 640 pages, covers special uniforms, small kit, miscellaneous equipment, small unit weapons, motorized vehicles, flags and standards, signal instruments, and much more. All volumes are published in the classic Bender quality. A price in US dollars has been handwritten on the first blank page of this volume.

All three volumes are in excellent, virtually unused condition with intact spines and no damage.
