German WWII Tropical Rare Early Green Y-Straps

An exceptionally rare set of early green tropical Y-straps, as illustrated on page 38 of the authoritative reference Ausrüstung Volume 1 by Roly Pickering. After consulting with the author, this set is confirmed as only the second example he has ever encountered.

These straps are slightly narrower than the standard later-issued Y-straps, and feature attachment rings positioned at different angles compared to the usual half-moon shaped D-rings found on standard infantry Y-straps.

All steel fittings show surface rust consistent with age and use. The steel D-rings and rectangular rings at the top of the straps are rusty, with one ring causing minor abrasion to the webbing where it passes through, but overall the webbing remains in excellent condition.

A highly desirable and rare tropical equipment set for serious collectors.
