German WWII Tropical Chemical Warfare Troops Overseas Cap

A superb example of a tropical overseas cap for the Chemical Warfare troops, in excellent, possibly unissued condition. Constructed from light tan cotton and clearly stamped size ‘57’. Maker marked ‘Brand of Magdeburg’ and dated ‘5/42’.

The front features the correct early-war configuration of insignia—a finely Bevo-woven blue-on-tan eagle positioned above the tropical cockade, with the distinctive inverted V waffenfarbe denoting the Chemical Warfare branch. An excellent and scarce example of a specialist tropical cap rarely encountered in this condition.
