GERMAN WWII TENO OFFICERS DISPLAY PIECE

An excellent example of the rare Teno officer's dagger, with the very low number ‘0412’ stamped into the upper throat of the scabbard and also stamped on the top of the blade underneath the Teno insignia within the swastika of the crossguard. The blade is absolutely superb, with all cross-grain finish remaining, with its Teno-style eagle, with each side having ‘Ges Gesch’. Below is the original Eickhorn etched trademark. The deep orange grip is absolutely undamaged; some of the original black patination still lies within the lower arms of the eagle and crossguard, and the Teno cogwheel in the upper pommel on both sides. A good amount of the original black patination also remains on the protected parts of the scabbard, which itself is totally undamaged in any form. The original screw holding the throat is in place, with the final addition of the short model silver portapee knot. A very fine example of this rare dagger.
