GERMAN WWII SUBMARINE SERVICE BADGE

A mid war example of the Submarine Service badge in very light raised relief is the makers trademark of ‘RO’. The steel pin and hinge all intact, the brass hook complete. The badge has been service used, the pin has been bent to make a secure fitting of the badge to a uniform tunic. Normally, these mid-war badges have lost all their gilt; this has had reasonable gilt, with slight rubbing to the high spots but good gold colour overall.
