German WWII Stalhelmbund Visor Cap

A very interesting and rare Stalhelmbund visor cap in the distinctive light field grey shade. The crown shows only two very minor moth nips. Features a black centre band with complete national and State cockades, flanked by a small M.29 eagle and swastika. The interior upper crown lining is a raffia pattern, with a full leather sweatband and black brushed cotton side lining stamped ‘ELITE size 56’ below the lozenge. Fitted with a Colonial Bund 1938 Bremen day badge to the side and a black leather chinstrap with matching black side buttons. A remarkable piece of Third Reich uniform history.
