GERMAN WWII SS STURMBANNFUHRER OTTO SKORZENY IMPORTANT LETTER

An A4-sized letter, on the headed paper of ‘Dipl.Ing. Otto Skorzeny SS Sturmbannfuhrer D.Res.’ dated ‘2nd October 1943’, it is addressed to the head of the SD ‘Obergruppenfuhrer Ernst Kaltenbrunner’, thanking him for his assistance in the Skorzeny rescue of Benito Mussolini in 1943. On Skorzeny’s official headed note paper addressed from his Command Headquarters in Friedenthal, close to Berlin, where his Commando Units were trained, addressed to Kaltenbrunner at the Gestapo Headquarters in the Prinz-Albrecht-Strasse No.8, with the original full signature of Otto Skorzeny. Some discolouring and age foxing, otherwise generally good. Punch-holed for filing, the paper has been pulled back into an oval fashion, where it has been attached within a file.
