This is an example of the presentation box used to hold a copy of Mein Kampf, which was given to SS personnel on the occasion of their wedding. The box is in a state of preservation that is notably high for its age.
The exterior of the lid features carved SS runes with a swastika below, surrounded by a laurel leaf border along the outer edge. The construction of the base remains solid, with no visible opening of the joints—a common occurrence with these wooden items over time. There are two minor chips on the left and right corners, though the geometric points remain intact.
The interior is unlined, consistent with the original issue specifications for this type of presentation piece. This artifact represents a specific aspect of the social and ceremonial traditions within the organization during the period.
