An outstanding opportunity to acquire a magnificent condition Model 33 SS enlisted man’s display piece. The central steel element is in absolutely mint condition, retaining all of its original cross-grain finish, with the contrasting darker background to the motto standing out clearly against the brighter surface. Maker marked RZM 7/5, corresponding to Carl Julius Krebs.
All plated fittings, including the upper and lower cross guard mounts and both scabbard mounts, remain mint bright. The ebony wood grip is completely undamaged, with sharp, well-defined edges throughout. The SS enamel inset is excellent and undamaged, complemented by a high-quality aluminium national eagle. The four screws securing the upper and lower scabbard mounts show unturned heads.
The black painted finish to the scabbard is fully intact, with natural age lines visible beneath the surface. There is one very minor indentation to the ball of the lower scabbard mount. Complete with its original black leather hanging strap, with the clip marked RZM 5/71 OLC. Without question, one of the finest SS enlisted man’s display pieces we have had in stock for a considerable time.
