A rare set of five A5-size award citations to SS Bruno Englert, each folded once or twice, with punch holes for filing and light toning with minor ragged edges. The documents include:
-
Wound Badge in Black, awarded 28th April 1942 to SS Schütze Englert of the SS Totenkopf Division, signed by an unidentified Obersturmbannführer.
-
Winter Medal in the East, awarded 12th July 1942 to Rottenführer Englert of SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment Theodor Eicke, signed by a different Obersturmbannführer.
-
Iron Cross 2nd Class, awarded 15th August 1943 to Sturmmann Englert of the same regiment, signed by an SS Brigadeführer and Generalmajor of the Waffen-SS.
-
Driver’s Qualification Badge, awarded 20th October 1943 to Rottenführer Englert, signed by an SS Standartenführer.
-
Panzer Assault Badge in Bronze, awarded 20th January 1944 to Rottenführer Englert, still with SS Panzer Grenadier Regiment Theodor Eicke, signed by an unidentified Obersturmbannführer.
A highly interesting and rare grouping documenting the wartime awards of a Waffen-SS soldier.
