This is an example of the Roaring Stag (Röhrender Hirsch), one of the most significant and impressive animal figures produced by the Allach porcelain factory. Established under the oversight of the SS, the Allach facility utilised highly skilled artisans to produce an exclusive range of cultural, animal, and political figures.
This specific piece is marked on the base with the designer's name, Professor T. Karner, and the model number 20. It also features the characteristic impressed SS runes. The figure captures the powerful stance of a stag in mid-roar, reflecting the naturalist aesthetic favoured by the porcelain works.
The figure shows some evidence of age and historical repair. There is a visible crack at the joint where the antlers meet the head, which were separate components joined during the original manufacturing process. Additionally, the tips of the right-hand antlers appear to have undergone professional restoration. Due to these factors, the piece is priced accordingly, offering an opportunity to acquire a major Allach model.
