GERMAN WWII SCHUTZPOLIZEI VISOR CAP

A small size 55 Schutzpolizei visor cap constructed in the police green with green piping to the crown, green piped also to the upper and lower sections of the brown centre band, fitted with the police eagle. It would appear that one of the pins has broken and been contemporarily repaired. Two moth nips to the crown.  The interior has badly degraded, with some of the interior lining missing; however, the inner crown lining with the remains of the centre celluloid lozenge is still visible, with the stamp size ‘55’, a Berlin cap maker’s logo with a good, clear date of ‘1940’. Standard chinstrap.
