German WWII SA Overseas Cap

A nice condition SA overseas cap, approximately size 55–56, constructed in the standard brown cloth used for SA uniforms. The cap features a single air vent and one small moth nip behind the side curtain. At the front is a gold political button with the M.29 eagle mounted on a brown backing cloth lozenge, denoting use by a member of either Niedersachsen, Mittelrhein, or Westmark.

The interior retains its large SA RZM issue label, along with a stamp reading ‘SA Standarte 232’ and what appears to be the name ‘Osthorn’. A safety pin is fitted through the upper envelope—a period fashion among wearers of overseas caps—and the original pin remains in place.
