A very interesting display piece, believed to be an ex-Rohm engraved example. The surface shows significant cross-grain grinding across the back, which has rendered the early Eickhorn squirrel trademark faint. The grip remains undamaged, with excellent condition enamel to the SA inset and a high-quality national eagle.
The lower rear cross guard is group-marked ‘FR’. The upper and lower mounts show heavy nicotine staining, with the lower scabbard exhibiting two minor indentations. The anodised finish to the scabbard has been sympathetically restored, though age lines remain visible. The lower ball has a single indentation, and all original screws are fitted.
