A nice example of an early SA dagger by E P & S Solingen. To the face side, the full Alles Fur Deutschland logo, some minor black spotting at the upper part of the blade, otherwise good original cross-grain finish remaining to this face side. The reverse side is clear evidence of the Ernst Rohm inscription being removed; the grinding wheel has encroached slightly on the E P & S Solingen logo. Early heavy nickel fittings, good undamaged wood grip, slight chipping to the enamel of the SA inset. Group mark ‘NO’ for Nordmark on the lower rear grip mount. Fitted into its anodised scabbard, which has suffered from some minor corrosion. Early nickel fitting, the lower ball has been flattened, and all the screws are intact.
