A very fine and rare German WWII SA enlisted man’s display piece featuring the partially erased Röhm inscription. Slight traces of the original engraving remain, mainly towards one end, with a good amount of the original finish still present.
The piece features nickel fittings, including a lower cross guard marked ‘NRH’ for Niederrhein. The wooden grip is in good condition with no damage, and the SA inset and national eagle remain intact. A leather washer appears to have been fitted contemporaneously.
Complete with its matching early scabbard, which retains much of its anodising and shows only minor wear, including a small indentation near the upper mount. All scabbard fittings and screws are present and undamaged.
A compelling display piece full of historical character, ideal for collectors of Third Reich period artifacts.
