GERMAN WWII SA ENLISTED MANS DISPLAY PIECE ERASED ROHM

A rare, erased Rohm dagger, excellent blade by E P & S Solingen. Slight traces of the etching remain, mainly to the right-hand end of the Ernst Rohm inscription. A good amount of the cross-grain finish remains to the Ulles Fur Deutschland side of the blade. Standard heavy nickel fittings, which have been cleaned. A leather washer appears to have been fitted contemporarily. The lower cross guard is marked ‘NRH’ for the area of Niederrhein. Wood grip is generally good, no damage to the SA inset. Good quality national eagle. Fitted into its matching early scabbard, which has a good amount of its anodising present. Scabbard mounts well with no damage to the ball of the lower scabbard mount. All screws fitted. One indentation to the upper scabbard mount close to the fitting loop.
