GERMAN WWII RURAL POLICE SHAKO

A very nice condition, all green bodied shako with brown front, rear peak and crown. There is a faint size stamping to the upper inner crown, which appears to be ‘58’ in size. The green felt sides are devoid of any moth damage. Some slight rubbing to the brown finish on the peaks and crown. Fitted with its correct enlisted man's one-piece large Police eagle in aluminium. Correct brown strap with all aluminium fittings and its enlisted ranks red, black and silver field cockade. To the interior, the leather liner is all complete, all tongues good, soft and supple with its original drawstring.  Maker marked to the upper inner crown area ‘Hans Romer Feber-Tschako’, the Company of Hans Romer are from Neu-Ulm on the River Danube.
