A very nice rural police enlisted shako, the green felt body remaining completely free of moth damage. Brown front and rear peaks and matching brown crown with only light rubbing to the finish. Fitted with its correct large one-piece aluminium police eagle and standard brown leather chinstrap with aluminium fittings, complete with the red, black and silver enlisted ranks cockade.
To the interior, the full leather liner is present with all tongues intact, soft and supple, and retaining its original drawstring. Faintly size stamped to the upper inner crown, appearing to be size 58. Clearly maker marked to the crown, Hans Römer, Feber-Tschako, the well-known Neu-Ulm manufacturer.
A clean, well-preserved example.
