GERMAN WWII RLB SERVICE HELMET

A rare helmet from the civil organisations, being the Air Raid Protection Organisation, known as the RLB, the Reich Luftschutzbund. Slightly lighter weight M35 helmet normally used and worn by police and fire services. slightly shorter brim, retaining virtually all its apple green finish with slight rut bleed. The impressive 1st pattern 8-pointed star RLB decal to the front is undamaged. Original liner having good colour, all tongues present with original drawstring, original leather strap and all five of the leather tabs fitted to the side of the liner for the fitting of a protective leather neck slap. A scarce helmet.
