GERMAN WWII RED CROSS OFFICIALS DISPLAY PIECE WITH STRAPS AND KNOT

An extremely nice Red Cross officers dagger, the blade is absolutely mint with all its bright cross-grain finish remaining; these blades were never maker marked.  The original leather washer fits between the upper reaches of the blade and the Red Cross cross guard. The cross guard and upper pommel of these daggers are always quite susceptible to corrosion. This is a super example that has not been affected; there are just two minor areas on the top back edge of the upper pommel where the plating has lifted away. Otherwise, it could be described in extremely good condition.  The grip is also excellent with one minor little mark halfway down the front side of the grip. Complete with its original dress knot, fitted into its excellent undamaged scabbard, which has slight thinness to the plating on the side edges, two minor discoloured spots to the lower half of the pebblying on the front side and the plating is thin on the reverse side of the scabbard bands. The two upper screws to the throat are unturned. Complete with a nice set of service used brown and silver straps. The unmarked belt clip is working correctly. All of the springs on the attachment clips are also in place and working correctly.
