From a collection originally acquired in the Channel Islands of Great Britain, all were purchased in the 1970’s. The blade retains virtually all of its cross-grain finish with some minor staining towards the lower end of the blade. The cast cross guard and upper pommel retaining all of its plating, quite often, the plating to these areas of this particular dagger is very thin and can be lost completely. The orange grip is good, with one minor chip to the upper section of the grip, some minor staining on the left-hand side, otherwise undamaged. The dagger still has its original brown leather washer running between the blade and the cross guard. The scabbard has one quite severe indentation towards the lower end and has lost a fair degree of its finish. Complete with a set of the Red Cross officers' dagger straps with their oval buckles, unfortunately, one of the spring-loaded clips has lost its flexible section. The scabbard has the round apertures for the attachment of the dagger strap instead of the rectangular.
