A fine example of the 1937 Red Cross Order 1st Class, presented in its original case along with a matching miniature. The neck cross displays excellent white enamel arms and a crisp black enamel eagle, topped with a fully gilded oak leaf cluster. It is suspended from a full-length red and white ribbon complete with its neck tie.
Beneath the cross, resting on the velvet bed, is the miniature medal ribbon with its original pin-back suspension. The fitted case shows edge scuffing from age; the interior lid lining is faded, and the silk over the hinge is shredded from wear. The closure catch remains fully functional. A scarce and desirable decoration set.
