German WWII Railway Officials Buckle, Ultra Rare Variant

An extremely rare and mint condition example of the German Railway Officials buckle, as pictured on page 480 of Belt Buckles and Brocades of the Third Reich by John R. Angolia. This variant features superb original gilt finish and is marked “Assmann” on the reverse. The central octagonal logo retains all of its silvering, with a frosted swastika providing sharp contrast and detail.

Fitted with one keeper, this is a well-documented and highly sought-after variant seldom encountered in such exceptional condition.
