GERMAN WWII RAILWAY OFFICIALS BUCKLE, ULTRA RARE VARIANT

Pictured on page 480 of Belt Buckles and Brocades of the Third Reich by John R. Angolia, this very rare mint condition buckle with superb gilt. ‘Assmann’ is marked on the reverse side. All the silvering to the central octagonal logo is good, with a frosted, highlighted swastika. One keeper fitted. A very rare but known and documented variant example.
