GERMAN WWII PRISON OFFICIALS VISOR CAP

An unusual visor cap from the Third Reich, being a prison officer's visor cap. All green body, red piping to the crown, red piping to the upper and lower sections of the black centre band. The cap is fitted with the silvered political eagle, national cockade below. Double green chinstrap with unusual sewn side buttons. Standard fibre peak. Mid tan leather sweatband all complete. Gold satin lining with the retailer of maker ‘Edward Sachs’ silver blocked to the upper inner crown area. One small moth hole to the crown area.
