GERMAN WWII POLICE M.35 DOUBLE DECAL COMBAT HELMET

An absolutely fabulous condition light apple green gloss finish police double decal combat helmet. The rimless police shield has just minor abrasions. The swastika, again with minor chips, both of which can be seen in our web images. The remainder of the shell retains all its paint finish with just minor chipping. To the interior, the mid-brown liner is all intact, soft and supple, with its original drawstring, some roughness to the leather at the lower edge of the liner and complete with its original chinstrap, which is maker-marked and dated ‘1937’. An original owner’s name of ‘Feist’ has been hand-engraved into the inner rim of this very fine helmet. The helmet is a Quist 64, and it appears on page 63 of the author Ken Niewiarowicz’s book German Combat Helmets 1933 to 1945. The collector’s original, very descriptive label is still attached to the helmet.
