German WWII Panzer Officers Visor Cap

A very nice and hard-to-find large size Panzer officers visor cap, likely size 59 or 60. Constructed from soft Melton material, the cap is free from moth damage on the upper sections. There is one moth nip to the rear of the green centre band and two small nips to the lower green section beneath the band. Fitted with a matching set of stamped aluminium national eagle and cockade, along with standard officer’s silver cap cords and side buttons.

The interior features a complete leather sweatband showing light wear and some minor cracking. The upper crown is lined in grey rayon, while the lower section is finished in grey brushed cotton. A Vienna retailer’s mark is visible beneath the intact and undamaged celluloid lozenge. The orange forehead cushion has hardened and broken away over time, with remnants still present. A well-detailed and characterful example.
