German WWII Panzer Officer’s Overseas Cap

A desirable large size Panzer officer’s overseas cap, marked size 60. This example shows honest service wear and features correct factory-applied insignia throughout.

The eagle is the officer’s Bevo variant, with a bullion roundel and the correct subdued pink soutache for Panzer troops. The roundel is slightly loose but remains firmly attached. One small moth nip is present on the front right side below the eagle.

The interior retains its original silk lining, heavily stained from field use. A period Dortmund maker’s label is hand-stitched inside, with an original owner’s name applied in pen, though now mostly illegible. A leather sweatband remains attached at the forehead area.

A strong example of a well-used, large-size Panzer officer’s field cap, increasingly difficult to find in this configuration.
