A fine and well-preserved example of a large-size Panzer officer’s overseas cap, constructed from high-quality wool and showing no signs of moth damage.
The cap features standard silver waffenfarbe piping running the full circumference of the upper envelope and the front scallop, consistent with officer-grade headgear. It is fitted with its original Bevo-woven silver officer’s eagle on a light green backing, positioned above a bullion wire cockade flanked by a full run of pink Panzer waffenfarbe.
The interior shows clear signs of period wear, with a grey rayon lining and a full grey leather sweatband fitted around the inner circumference. The owner’s initials, “OR,” are inked into the lining. A textbook and service-used example of a Panzer officer’s field cap.
